## No code export, on any plan, by design

This is the fact that should decide the question, and Bubble states it plainly rather than hiding it: Bubble apps can only be run on the Bubble platform, and there is no way of exporting your application as code. That holds on Free, on Team and on Enterprise alike. You can export your user data as CSV, JSON or NDJSON, and read it through the API, and Bubble will help export the app design — but the application itself does not leave.

Workload Units measure the server-side compute your live app consumes across twelve activity types, each with its own entry cost and calculation. That means the meter keeps turning after you have stopped working — a successful launch is a larger bill, and it arrives without you doing anything.

Overage runs at $0.30 per 1,000 WU without a workload tier, with warnings at 75% and 100%. You can disable overage, but then the app goes offline when it hits the cap — which is the correct engineering choice and an uncomfortable business one. Bubble’s own documentation is careful about this; it is the sort of thing worth modelling before launch rather than discovering after.

NorthernGo does not meter traffic at all. The plan price covers the generations; what your users do afterwards is not counted. ## EU data means Enterprise, and Bubble says so

Bubble’s shared environment is hosted in the United States and its documentation states that changing that location is not currently possible. So European data residency exists — at the top of the price list.
